THE FIRM

Paatela & Co Architects Ltd is an architectural firm specialising in the health care sector. We have considerable experience in the design and implementation of health facilities, elderly care and other health care sector projects in Finland and around the world.

The firm was founded in 1918 by architects Jussi and Toivo Paatela and has specialised in health care projects for over 100 years.

In addition to the expertise accumulated through Finnish projects, our active international engagement also enables the latest in health facilities design to be applied in our projects.

As well as Finnish clients, our firm’s architectural services and expertise have also been utilised by many foreign clients, including the City of Sendai, Japan, the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China and the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO).
