T-HOSPITAL ENLARGEMENT, PHASE II

New facilities for acute care will be constructed in the 2nd enlargement phase. These will be located into two new building blocks separated by a glass covered atrium, a continuation to the present atrium. One of the blocks will house the so called “hot-functions” and will include eg. an operating theatre department, an ICU, observation units, a MRI-unit, an emergency department together with a laboratory, a sterilization unit and other supporting services. The other building block will house eg. a X-ray department, a stroke unit, a CCU, a primary care OPD and administration facilities.

As the second enlargement phase is completed in 2012, the total volume of the T-hospital will be ca. 500 000 cu.m.
