The Elderly Care Centre is responsible for the long-term and short-term care and rehabilitation of the elderly in the city of Lahti and it’s surroundings. The 4-storey building has a total of 160 patient beds and it consists of six patient units for the elderly and one for disabled persons, together with all the necessary care, rehabilitation and supporting services. Each patient unit consist of app. 20 single rooms with bathrooms, a central living and dining area with a kitchen, nursing and hobby facilities, a sauna and a large balcony. The Care Centre adjoins the existing Jalkaranta nursing home, which was renovated for elderly care in 1998. The overall bed capacity of the whole complex is 240 patient beds.
