The hospital belongs to the Helsinki University Central Hospital complex and is responsible for the highest level patient examination, treatment, care and medical education in the field of dermatological and allergic diseases in the country. These diseases are principally treated on out-patient basis. In addition to the out-patient departments for dermatology, allergy and veneral diseases the hospital houses eg. an allergy examination unit, a X-ray department, laboratories, a rehabilitation unit and wards with a total of 100 beds for more complicated patient cases.
